Anne, I left Berlin on Sept 28, 1938. I nearly missed my train because of the troops on their way to the Sudetenland. You glossed over the fact that Hitler deceived Chamberlin by having the troops marching
and promisinf no invasion of Sudetenland. Also, there were other resistance groups. Mher had a ‘Kreis Schaffender Frauen’, also published a magazine by that name. These people were also against the regime! I have aletter saying that the Kreis was ‘verboten’ and to send the membership list to the police chief!. I was also in Germany at the end of the war as an American officer and was well aware of the denazification etc. My older brother Ernie threw flowers at the SA marching by, but did not remove the pots! He fled toi Switerland just ahead of the Gestapo.
